We are looking for swimmers who can swim but would like to improve. Swimming is a life skill that we should all possess living close to the coast.

🎅 Christmas Break Swimming Camp for Kids Age 5+ (3 Days Intensive)

Our intensive swimming camps are aimed at those swimmers who are currently undertaking swimming lessons. We cannot accommodate swimmers who have no previous water experience. These sessions will focus on improving already established the swimmers have learnt in their lessons.

Time: 9:00am or 9:45am
Duration: 45mins

Don’t wait too long, we only have a few spots!

Group 1 🎁

Those who have been in lessons for less than 6 months. If you swimmer cannot swim independently or requires a floatation device then this is the group for them.

Group 2 🎁🎁

If your swimmer is happy and comfortable in the water. They can float aided or unaided and can move short distances through the water independently. Swimmers must be comfortable exhaling while having their face is in the water.

Group 3 🎁🎁🎁

Swimmers who can swim independently for 10m – 25m. They should have an understanding of how to move their arms and legs in frontcrawl, backcrawl and breaststroke.

Our intensive christmas swimming camps are aimed at those swimmers who are currently undertaking swimming lessons. We cannot accommodate swimmers who have no previous water experience. These sessions will focus on improving already established the swimmers have learnt in their lessons.

Kids Swimming Lessons Assessment Form:

We have a few spots available depending on age and ability. Session times are on Friday’s at 4:00pm, 4:40pm, 5:20pm and Saturday’s at 4:20pm, 5:00pm, 5:40pm and 6:20pm. Location is Castle Park School, Dalkey Co. Dublin. All new swimmers will be assessed before the first session to make sure we have availability for the right level.

Most children learn to swim at a very young age, but is it really that important? We are convinced that swimming is an essential life skill that everyone should master. It teaches your kid about water safety and helps to overcome the fear of water. Swimming has several positive aspects on the body. It can improve strength, stamina, and posture. The most significant advantage of learning to swim is your child’s safety, as the probability of drowning becomes less likely. Therefore, swimming is essential for every child to learn to build confidence and have some fun while learning how to swim!
Besides learning how to become a confident swimmer, your child will have many benefits from taking part in swimming classes. Experienced swim instructors will guide the kids on their own personal journey to water confidence. You can book group swimming lessons, where other kids with the same skill level are taught at the same time. These groups are usually kept small for everyone to benefit from the lesson. The kids have to take turns and have some waiting times in-between. The advantage of group lessons is that your child finds new friends to socialise with. It’s a lot more fun for them and makes them want to go back every week! Like this, they can motivate each other to improve and learn to swim in a positive environment. It might even be that your child develops a passion for swimming and wants to continue with competitive swimming afterward. There are many options for kids that want to swim regularly, such as a swim club. Some children might get too distracted from other kids or don’t like to learn in a group setting. That is no problem, as many swimming pools also offer private lessons for children! They are more expensive, but your kid will get the undivided attention of the coach and can learn to swim in a shorter amount of time.

Each of our swimming lessons for kids lasts 40 minutes.

Certainly. You will be delighted to see the progress your child makes. Parents will have access to an audience tribune. Parents are not permitted in the changing rooms or pool hall, with the exception of younger swimmers age 5-7.

Yes, especially with our younger swimmers.

Our coach-to-swimmer ratio is low and we typically have 4-8 swimmers per coach, depending on the age group.

Learning to swim can be different for everyone, and goals can also be different. There’s no one-size-fits-all model for swimming. We recommend swimming for at least a full term with us. Swimming classes are most effective if swimmers attend regularly. 

Parents must complete the online Health & Release Form and submit any necessary paperwork before their child may participate in any camp.

You can pay by credit card or debit card and all payments are secure. In certain circumstances, a payment can be made on the spot following a consultation.
