Swim Stroke Video Analysis for Triathletes & Masters in Dublin

See your stroke. Understand the problem. Fix what matters.

You know something’s off with your stroke. Maybe you’ve been told your hand entry’s too wide, or your kick isn’t doing what you think it’s doing. But unless you’ve actually seen it, you’re working blind.

That’s what this session sorts out. We film you above and below the water, show you exactly what’s happening, and then work on the one or two things that’ll make the biggest difference right now. No information overload. No list of twenty corrections you’ll forget by Tuesday.

The Pool and the Coaches

Sessions take place in a private 25m pool with two lanes. No public sessions running alongside you, no distractions, nobody watching from the gallery. It’s a calm space built for focus.

You’ll have experienced coaching support poolside. They train, they race, they know what it’s like to be stuck on a time. Between them, they bring over 12 years of coaching experience, with backgrounds in open water, triathlon, Masters competition, sports psychology, and strength and conditioning.

Expert eyes on your stroke. Feedback that sticks. And because they’ve been where you are, the feedback actually makes sense.

What We Actually Do

We start with an in-depth conversation — what you’re training for, what is holding you back, what you want to get out of the session. Then we film your stroke from angles you’ve probably never seen.

After that we go through the footage, identify the specific things that are costing you time or making you working harder than you need.

Your coach will guide you through drills that target exactly what was just identified. It’s not about seeing and hearing, it is about feeling the difference and understanding how these impact your efficiency.

When you leave, you will know what to work on and how to work on it in your regular sessions. No confusion, no guesswork.

Want structured guidance beyond the session? We can put together a 4–6 week tailored training plan to meet your goals. Have a chat with your coach on the day and we’ll figure out a plan.

What Changes for You

Before After
Guessing at what needs to change You’ve seen your stroke on screen — no more guessing
Drowning in corrections you can’t remember Changes that you can actually work on
Feedback that fades by the time you’re home A mental picture that sticks because you watched it happen
Starting to lose motivation Confidence back. Clear direction forward

How the Session Works

Each session is 55 minutes, focusing on one stroke.

Arrive & Warm Up: We’ll meet you, get to know you, and make sure we’re clear on what you want from the session. Then you’ll warm up for around 10 minutes; nothing complicated, just enough to get moving.

Film: We capture your stroke from above and below the surface, the angles most swimmers never get to see. This is usually the bit that opens people’s eyes.

Watch: You’ll review the footage with your coach, and receive honest feedback. Most people are surprised. Hand entry too wide. Head position too high. A 2-beat kick when you thought you were doing 6.

Focus: We identify specific things to work on. Not a long list you’ll struggle to remember, just the changes that’ll make most sense.

Practise: Then it’s back in the pool with drills that target what we’ve just identified. Your coach is right there, giving you one-to-one feedback as you go. You won’t just know what to change, you’ll have felt the difference.

Got questions about swim video analysis? We’ve got answers.

€150 for 55 minutes. That covers the filming, the analysis, the coached drill session, and at least two coaches poolside. You’ll also get your video footage and a personalised drill sheet to take away.

Togs, goggles, and a towel. That’s it. We take care of everything else.

Yes. We’ll send you the footage after the session so you can review it in your own time.

Most swimmers feel the difference during the session itself — that’s the whole point of getting straight back in the water after the analysis. How quickly it sticks depends on how consistently you work on the changes in your regular training. The drill sheet we give you is designed to keep you on track.

Tell your coach. If you’ve got a triathlon or an open water event coming up, that changes what we focus on. We can tailor the session around what’s going to matter most on race day.

It can be. Pool-based video analysis picks up the technique issues that cost you the most in open water — body position, kick efficiency, breathing patterns. If open water is your goal, let us know when you book and we’ll make sure the session reflects that.

Sessions are non-refundable, but you can reschedule. Just get in touch and we’ll find another date that works.

Yes. We regularly work with competitive age‑group swimmers and their parents. The session format is the same — filming above and below the water, on-the-spot feedback, and targeted drills — but we shape the language and focus around the swimmer’s age, stage, and racing goals. Parents are welcome to sit in on the review so you understand what we’re working on and how to support your swimmer in regular club sessions.
