Built for swimmers who can manage 25m front crawl but know they could be so much better.

Who is it for?

Swimmers who are interested in signing up for this course should be comfortable swimming 25m front crawl, with correct breathing movement (turning head to the side). During these swimming lessons, you will gain confidence, improve your stroke, and gain additional aquatic skills. The course will be very technically focused, and will work to create more proficient, effective swimmers. Sessions for swimmers of this level will take place in the pool, and open water is not recommended.

Topics you can expect to be covered in this course:

  • Breathing Techniques, challenging your breathing, increasing lung capacity
  • Improving & strengthening leg kick 
  • Introducing power into your stroke
  • Body position correction
  • Improving Rotation and balance in the water
  • Backcrawl / Breaststroke, increasing mobility and comfort in the water
  • Gaining knowledge on how to increase fitness and stamina
  • Increasing distance swam gradually

Free parking right outside the main entrance. Meet at the front desk 10 minutes before class – don’t go to the changing rooms first. Your SwimCamp coach collects everyone from reception and takes the group through together.

Proper 25-metre pool, consistent depth (1m-1.2m), perfect water temp for training. Individual changing cubicles, lockers (50 cent coin needed, refunded), hot showers. Everything’s on one level – no stairs with wet feet.

Nope. Pool entry’s included in your SwimCamp course fee. Just tell reception you’re with SwimCamp. Want to practice between classes? That’s €6 – €8 per swim or grab a DLR membership.
